Oil Drain Plug size

Hi Folks - does anyone know the correct size cap for the drain plug at the bottom of the pan on a circa 1942 CK lathe?

OD of the pipe seems to measure 1 3/8...but there is a ton of paint on there...so maybe 1" or 1 1/4" NPT?

1" Pipe has an OD of 1.315, I think that's your best bet. So 1" - 11.5 NPT.

correct! - bought a 1" NPT cap yesterday at Home Depot - fits perfectly

As perfectly as a chinese pipe fitting will fit anyway.......
