QSD Relay Rectifier

Beats me.

I didn't even know a 10EE had a transceiver, let alone a ham radio license.

Must be a novice license and code only.

As to the original question - I have 2 schematic versions of the QSD, one with a bridge rectifier and a couple of caps (C8 & C9) across the armature windings feeding the coil (looking at back EMF, maybe?) and others with nothing but the coil inline with the series field winding (and thus the armature) likely in some current sensing configuration.

If I were you I'd find lines 51 & 49 on the module and trace them out there as they're the QSD coil in the one schematic I have that shows them.

Ouch ... ok I walked into that one .... in my defense I haven't used my license in about 30 years, but still. OK, I looked, the schematic in my manual is the one with the bridge and capacitors (neither of which are anywhere to be found). The label on the inside of the door just has the coil wired in.

In any case, thanks for the help and the laugh !!
