Rear crossslide cover 10EE

My lathe didn't have the taper attachment cover, and I wanted a longer one than the Monarch part, so Lectrician1 welded me one. It matches my crosslide so well that after filling the seams and painting it will probably look like a Monarch part. I wish I could weld like that...

Interesting. Round-dials have an elaborate spring-loaded gizmo that holds the rear cover in place and allows for easy removal.

The gizmo thingies are in the round dial manual, but the square dial parts drawings I have don't show them. The drawing doesn't show the attachment at all, just the rear cover, part 3404.

Drawing EE-8-17 shows what seems to be a SHCS holding the back cover on. The last change date was 9/13/63 so certainly square dial.
