I've been running my 1940's 10EE with the original Reliance 3HP DC motor on single-phase 220V, using a KBRG-225 drive. It is barely adequate.
I'm adding a large 3-phase 220V rotary converter to my shop. I want to convert the lathe to run on 3-phase to use its full capabilities.
None of the original Monarch driver is present. The Reliance motor was rebuilt and works fine. I don't want to swap it for a modern AC motor with VFD.
I've searched the forum for info, and found a couple of threads about using a Eurotherm/Parker drive. Is that still the "recommended" replacement drive?
