Does anyone know what it is? The manual says the first back gear is 22 to 200 and second back gear is 44 to 400. But it doesn’t give the open belt speed ranges. Tony’s site says the back gear ratios are 6.25:1 and 12.5:1. If that’s true then the max speed would be 2500 RPM. He also says the motor is a 1750 RPM motor. My motor data plate says 3470 RPM max 500 RPM min.

I also found the dedicated rivettlathes.com that says speed range is 22 to 3600 RPM and the motor is 1750 RPM.

Thinking about this further, at the middle speed of the Reeves drive the ratio would be 1:1 and therefore 1800 RPM.

If the speed ranges of the two back gears are 22:200 or 44:400 that is 9:1 basically. So the ratio range of the reeves has to be 9:1. If the max RPM is indeed 3600 then the output of the reeves must be 400 to 3600. That sound correct?

Information here regarding the machine, drawings of the drive begin on page 28, apparently the motor was either 3 or 5hp, and 22 to 3600 rpm spindle speed.
The variable speed reeves type drive said to be made by Worthington pump and machinery corporation, Rivett directing drive parts to be ordered from Worthington. I suspect the Moore jigbore drives made by the same company.
The publication has no date. I would expect correct adjustment procedures to be in the operators manual.
