Wiring diagram for the ELS.

I am about to take the ELS off my 10ee so I can paint it.
I have looked through the manuals for how the 3 Microswitches
connect into my module drive electronics and have not found
anything. The mechanical drawings are there but not the
electrical drawings.

I will mark the wires so I can get it back together the same
way. Some of the wires are marked with numbers but not all.

Anyone have any more information?

Thanks! That is great. What manual is that from? All of the 10ee
manuals that I have do not have that little ELS box shown in the drawing.

it's not in a manual, it's on drawing sheet "Part No. 23112 Machine Wiring Diagram".
i can give you a copy of the drawing if you PM me your email.

I traced all of the wires of my ELS control box. They are quite different from
the drawings people offered. That does not mean that what I have is correct.
Clearly some of the wiring has been messed with by a not very good electrician.
I found wires just twisted together and taped. I found wires that had their
insulation stripped and not taped. Even the drive motor terminals had their
wires just wrapped around the spade connectors and taped. Yet, with all of
this the lathe seemed to work OK.

Here is the wiring that I found at the ELS control. I traced all of the wires
to the terminal strip at the bottom of the relay panel.

The top microswitch:
Normally open contacts (inside): 3 and 50
Normally open contacts (outside): 7 and 14

The middle microswitch:
Normally open contacts: 15 and 17

The bottom microswitch:
Normally open contacts: 16 and 17

Even the drawing pasted to the inside of the relay panel door
does not show the ELS wiring.

Check out the Four Ponds video, he shows wiring the ELSR in part 16. He restored a modular.
