It looks like coolant has been getting past the O-Rings on my live tooling. I'm going to replace the O-Rings, but I'm wondering about the inside of the turret. How is it lubricated? Should it hold oil, or is it a loss system that is replenished from the way oil?

Can I clean it out with mineral spirits?

It will hold some way oil but it's not designed as an oil reservoir. Overage drains out. Someone definitely ran that machine with shot or missing o-rings on tool holders.

You can unbolt and remove the number plate on the face of the turret and you'll be able to see everything in there. I'd wipe out any junk that's loose and replace the face plate. Make sure you have good o-rings on all the holders all the time and you should be ok going forward.
