Hello guys!

I tried to turn a 3/16" ball on the subspindle of a Multusb200 with a 3mm (.118") full radius insert.
and couldnt turn the full ball, then finally resorted to using a normal grooving insert and managed to turn the ball within 0.001" sphericity.

I do have 2 more spheres to turn to 5/8" diameter and I would like to see where is the problem in my code and learn to possibly write the code myself without using the Gibbscam for this.

The problem was that the initial lead in to the ball bit into the back part of the sphere.
I am using a .1 90 degre lead in with a .1 (0.004") entry radius as I dont have much room behing the part.
the opeation uses TNR compensation with mode 3 compensation just as a normal external turning tool.
I assume this has something to do with the location where the g41 is issued+the minimal lead in and entry radius?
toolpath starts at back end of sphere and advances in the Z+ direction.
I tried to play with G41/G42 , tried turning off TNR, tried comp modes of 3,4,8,9 and didn't succeed.
