    Both. Plus easier to train-up on, harder to FUBAR for the less-trained, cheaper to stock spares for and faster to replace for less downtime.

    Conceptually, it has been that way since sailing ships got too big to drag up a beach, let alone for submarines, neither of which which were ever NOT complicated and with bad outcomes, a person got it wrong.

    Yep...buttons are good.
    Jogging a machine when you have to look at a screen...what could go wrong.

    FWIW - we were able to finish the run.

    Not replacing the screen right away as we seldom run this machine, but noting what we will be needing to doo so before taking any new orders for it.

    Just thanking God that we were able to finish the run and have a warning before complete failure!

    I'm glad you got it working.
    But bring it up to date befor you need it again.

    I have been on a plane with an obsolete controller.
    You don't want to pay for that.
