I love it, the wheel and the tach.

I've used Dean's anodizing in Redwood City for regular anodize, alodine, and a place I worked years ago sent zinc there. I've had hardcoat done at Amex in San Jose. No idea if either does mail order.

I'm not an East Bay guy, no clue what's over that way.

if you're willing to pay postage both ways and don't mind waiting a week or two, I'd be happy to do it for the karma and practice. I have black, red, blue, purple and pink (don't ask) Caswell dies. I've gotten black nailed down pretty well, the other colours are a little more hit or miss.

Thank you, everyone for the nice words. It was a fun little hack. If anybody wants a PDF of the graphics PM me and I'll email it to you.

Thanks Matt, that is a very generous offer! I'll keep it in mind, but I am going to try to find someone local that will turn it around quickly, because I can't really use the machine feeds without the wheel mounted. The shifter position is determined by the detents in the back of the hub and it kind of floats if the hub is not on the shaft.

no worries Quick turn around isn't a phrase I'm very familiar with, though I was able to knock out a two thread set screw for a friend tonight at short notice!
