    On your machine pulling up on the red round knob on the left side of the carriage engages the half nut for threading

    The dial that is approx 5" in diam, right center of the carriage is indicating your carriage travel, its not for threading/clocking your thread

    yes thats'on most lathes, mine has that 4 inch dial graduated 4 major numbers, but it does not revolve til the spinning lead screw is engaged

    That 4" dial is not for threading,
    Your threading dial is missing, it is mounted on the left side as my pic shows.
    I'll take a few more closeups when back at the shop

    I'll see if I can take a short video of me gouing thru the thread cutting process and send it your way
