My Hembrug DR1 has finally arrived from Switzerland . Some photos attached . All up cost me 10 grand aus dollars , including shipping etc . Did i pay to much ? The lathe appears to be in excellent condition . I suspect it belonged to a most skilled machinist , there are literally hundreds of pieces of tooling and spares that came with it . It has a full set of collets and draw bars , face plates 4 jaw chuck , dozens of jaws for the reichawer chuck , 14 tool holders for original multifix quick change tool post . There is a taper turning attachment and many attachments that clamp to the saddle including what appears to be a turrent tool post similar to a turrent lathe . I have never seen one , does any body know about these ? It has a full set of gearing and a naw set of tumble gears .
