I just picked up a Mori MS 850 that had been operating on 440v 3ph and want to run on 220v 3ph. Motor is a 5hp Yaskawa 4p 220v/440v. The 9 leads were lettered and numbered which was my first obstacle but found an appropriate source for conversion here https://www.hollandindustrial.com/w...2/European-and-American-Motor-Connections.pdf. That part solved. There is no transformer for the control circuit on the lathe. I do not see any markings on the relays specifying coil voltage. There are no wiring diagrams either. I do have a parts manual and it does not specify anything for different voltages. Does anyone have a wiring schematic for these lathes or know what course of action is required? I am not interested in using a VFD. Looks like the adjustable overload is large enough.

If there is no control transformer, chances are that the coil voltage on the mag starters is 440V. I can't read the info on the photos that you posted, but in many cases you can buy replacement coils, so you may be able to get new 220V coils. Another option is to get a 220V to 440V transformer that is sized appropriately to run the machine and just run it on 440V. Good luck.

I spoke with Webb Machinery and they were very helpful in directing me to look in the compartment at the tailstock end. Bingo! That’s where the control transformer resides.
Here is how the transformer is wired for 440v. CE942AF2-FE20-46A0-956D-451F20F6576E.jpg
My guess would be to remove the yellow jumper and move the red wire to the other 220v labeled post. Now without a schematic I’m not about to guess and have an “Oh Fudge” moment. Thanks Z

Well now we all know guesswork usually ends up wrong so after a bit more research and looking at some of my other machines I figured out that the two primary coils need to be wired in parallel for 220v. There was even the extra jumper that had been removed attached to the plastic shield studs. Here it is with the jumpers installed.
