Since I fixed the tachometer on Graziano, I became aware of a gap in my variable speed range. When I am in high range the lowest working spindle speed I can get is 600 rpm. I believe the machine is meant to go lower than that in high range, but when I try to go below 600 it sounds/looks like the belt on the Reeves drive is slipping. It drops suddenly to a very low rpm and has no torque. The highest speed I can get when in low range is about 350 rpm before the limit switch gets tripped. Is anyone else who uses this machine able to get a lower rpm than 600 in high range? Just curious to know before I go pulling the whole drive assembly out to inspect the variable speed parts.
