Default Schaublin 150 delay when reverse selected.

    Hi fellow machinists,
We have a Schaublin 150 which is a great little lathe. It has had about a one second delay when reverse spindle has been selected for quite some time.
Is this normal, and if not, does anyone know how to rectify? Cheers.

Got the book O' words n' pictures?

I'd start with a trip through the linkages that operate the switches. Be surprised if there is not some dried gummy oil in there causing a slow motion reaction, when the selection is made.
