Have that same collet chuck. I just reset as needed. DO NOT loosen the from mounting bolts and you will be fine. It's not necessary, the adjusting screws will move the chuck body.

There is a little band wrench that is missing from your set that you use to loosen the caps. If being very careful you could try the holder attachment and try that as a last resort.

I'd be afraid the oil would collect grinding grit/dust. Remove spindle and store elsewhere until needed ? I store mine out of the bearing since I don't use it that often.
