    The maxstars are inverters(DC only) vs synchs being tranformer machines. I think the biggest maxstar is the 200 while you can get a synch over 300 amp I believe.

    Another happy owner of the Miller Maxstar 150 STH, for lightduty DC it's tough to beat.
    I've got several friends with the XMT 304s who swear by them. DC only but a good multi-purpose machine.
