Right now, I'd vote Doosan. Support, parts, and service are big bang for the buck. The Hyundai looks ok, but I've heard only so-so things. Right now, I'd vote Doosan.

The Air gun and coolant washdown are nice, but really, you could add your own for a LOT less. Put the money into other things.

A lot of mill work is simple facing, slotting and drilling, so hand programming is frequently done.

The "easier" parts comes when trying to get stuff to work. Many folk know Fanuc G code and cycles, and everyone else's controller, including by beloved Okuma OSP, falls in somewhere behind.

My advice is to get something with a Fanuc controller, or "Fanuc style" as the programming and coding will be MUCH easier.

There is a procedure to back the tool changer out, and I'd call Dah Lih.

Yeah, as I've said about my home state of NJ, the NYC wage/rents exert huge influence over local pricing and salaries. I live in Bergen County which is a scant 10 minutes from the George Washington...

    I had one identical.
It is drill/tap and light milling.
It's not a heavy hogging machine - but lighter cuts no problem. Still supported for parts too.
