The table should take very little effort to move!

You have to much resistance from the grease, the hand wheel is just slipping on the belt?

Clean the grease out of there, It should be Way oil...

You can screw it on too tight and get increased resistance, it's deforming the bottom of the quill as you probably already know?
IIRC, it just needs to be snug, a little more than hand tight?
...

The one in Oregon is a FP4M, it has the gearbox for the feeds.

I was considering the ones in Canada......now that I see what they went for, it may have been worth it?

I have an arbor support for an FP2, it has the same size dovetail as the FP1?

The tach works and is in pretty good shape for it's age, it has a scratch on the lens and some rust on the bezels. ...

That was on the Monarch solid state drive, unless your machine was rebuilt by Monarch, you could use a rotary phase converter if needed?

I would not buy a VFD until you verify what the machine needs for power, it could run on single phase?
Please take pictures of the components, it would be a lot easier to diagnose then!
