    Why not use standard red thoriated tungstens? Never had a red tungsten round off at that low amperage. Gas sounds fine.

    Seriously though you can go to a plumbing supply and get round steel brushes for cleaning copper pipe fittings. they would be 7/8" and 1 1/8"...
