If you're getting a Haas with a NGC you should have the ethernet option, and you can run directly from there. I don't think I've ever actually ran a program from the machine's memory!

My Sodick is an AP500, year is about 2000. It's a great machine. Pretty much all my problems with it were a result of something I did wrong. It just runs and runs.
