EIA was definitely not standard on the T Plus. I ran a 1996 DT20 with the T Plus control for a few months last year and it didn't have EIA.

Looking at the Fanuc timeline, 21TB is from 94-97 and 21iTB is 2005-2010. 21 series have the Super CAPi conversational programming.
I think Manual Guide I started with the 31i models.

What do you mean by you edited out G54 in the program? Do you mean you deleted it?
And I am not sure which bits you have to change in parameter 9936. I'll see what mine looks like tomorrow at work.

Press the Offset hard key and you should see three soft key options. The one on the left is for wear/geometry offset, can't remember what the middle one is for and the one on the right should say...

You’re right. I just realized that it’s almost half circle. That tool doesn’t have the clearance to make that radius.

I would use a neutral tool holder with a 35 degree insert for that.

That's because T100 indexes to tool 1 and cancels the tool offset. T101 indexes tool 1 and applies offset 1.

G98 and G99 are Fanuc System A, G94 and G95 are Fanuc system B. I run a lathe at work that uses G94 and G95 instead of the usual G98 and G99. It all depends how it's set in the parameters.

Just delete the G98 code from the drill operation (or change it to G99) and change the feed from F3.5 to 0.005.

New member asks for help, doesn't like the suggestions so he argues that he is right, and then never comes back. :rolleyes5:

At the shop I work at we have a 1986 Puma 8 with the 10T control. I am guessing the 6T would be early 80s?
Our 33 year old Puma 8 still makes good parts and is used almost everyday.

We have stools at the shop I work at. Management doesn't care if we sit because work is getting done regardless. And people don't abuse it either.

Tool geometry offset is for the tool geometry only. G54 is your work Z zero offset. You can't mix the two together.
I am confused as what you are trying to do.

Wages have been shit for a long time and still are. Companies that pay good salaries are rare.
I would not recommend any young people enter this trade at the current pay rates.

.004 nose radius will never get you a good finish. Use a tool with .0156 or even .0312 for better finish.
