Don't know about all that - its plainly from about 1914 in that it has those features. Only trouble is by then the serial will be five digits and in between two rear vee ways on right...

I'll guess if that is not a quite slow motor that the lathe has been run way too fast since the conversion - in other words the plain bearings for the spindle suffered accordingly. Counter shaft...

I''d assume nothing interchanges - especially from the next size up or down. There was nothing cheap about this high class maker - like trying to make do with wrong size T/A parts

Of course they made them for ages - and the old ones are not exactly like the later ones - scans from 1923
