I have been working on getting set up as a contractor for 7 months now. After starting on my 2nd JCP application I'm starting to get a nagging feeling about the ITAR requirements. My question is do I need a separate application for each sub section or class of material? At $2k/application it smells like I'm about to get hosed.. thanks Andy

No, just the one application is all you need.

Talk to the QA auditor at the company you are making parts for. You may be able to get under their umbrella without going through any of the processes yourself.

I am also start to work towards government contracting. Was wondering if this is still an issue for you or was it resolved.
