I have a Mitutoyo dial test indicator, Model: 513-405-10T.

I need to replace its stylus but I can't find anywhere in its literature how to do it.

Can anyone please help?

I don't want to try anything wrong and end up damaging it.

Thanks.

They are usually screwed on. Does the stem have little wrench flats on it? If not I am not sure. Older Federal indicators used a spring mechanism with 'teeth' that you pulled in and out...

See that little disc? That's the wrench to remove the stylus. It goes across the little flats and unscrews.

Thanks, BoozeDaily.
But just as Haazert said, I don't see this disc in the box.
Now I am trying to find a thin enough strip that can fit in the flat, so that it may be unscrewed.

I have two sets, one with disc wrench, one without.

OP, the thickness of mine is .03" if that helps

Out of curiosity are they metric or imperial? I know there are some omissions on some imperial tooling like the limit markets on their dial indicators.
