I have no need to use this service but a friend of mine has been running a small shop for years and looking "something" to nibble on. I have nothing to send him. He has been thinking about MFG, and I know this topic has been beaten, but what is it that made you run? The price? He hasn't called yet so no clue what it costs. Not getting paid? Seems a little scary to do work and ship it, and hope the other end sends a check! Other?
Or has this went to the way of nothing more than a gateway to China and little more?
Are the parts there just mundane parts? Any real, close tolerance work?
He has high end machines, not Haas, a CMM, and the competence and experience but I have heard nothing but bad about MFG. Everything from their sales bullshit to the quote numbers that are way below scrap value.
Maybe this subject is too beaten to discuss?
