Training help requested

Boss knows nothing, supervisor died of a stroke and will not be replaced. I have a Nikon bridge-style CMM with Camio 8 (current) and also a seat of polyworks, which is my specialty. My experience is all Romer-arm and Faro PCMM, and I'm feeling lost here. I don't know if the CMM can be connected to the polyworks machine, all of our current programs run in camio and then we import the data to polyworks for output to excel.

I can't seem to find any training for camio online... am I doomed?

No, not doomed, but the company may have to spend a dollar or two and have them travel out to train you, or send you to their office. Not that bad to learn, really.

Double check their desks, their filing cabinet, and their directories (if any) on your server or their PC. You might get lucky and find "operator notes".

I had to go thru a similar exercise where I work several years ago. People had (for example) a bunch of Tribal Knowledge stuck in their heads regarding running the Laser Engraver. I found & sorted notes from several places and moved all of that to "formal" work instructions.

Best of luck, that's a frustrating position to be in. Been there, done that.
