Probably 10 years ago we found out UPS was upcharging every package because it had a wood cover (plastic box with handles.)

A reason they gave me for 70 lb upcharge was it took two people. HA HA. My 160 lb dividing head was delivered by the driver alone.

If you are shipping in the states around Wisconsin check out Midwest Shipping & Delivery Service | Spee-Dee Delivery The only problem is 7 state area.

You can file a tax exampt cert.
I started one the other day, but not on file yet.

Actually, I'm quite fine with them collecting it, as long as they let us file TE form.

I did both Amazon and Ebay when they started collecting sales tax.

Problem is... the way Ebay is currently set up, they charge sales tax, I get hit with the paypal fee on the sales tax, then ebay takes back the sales tax. This becomes a second problem, because as a business, I have to collect tax for sales in Ohio. Since they are taxable sales, they get reported with my semi-annual sales tax and I have to pay the sales tax on them, again. Ebay kept the sales tax collected, so I lose out on 6.5% of the sale.
