Have rescued a Seneca Falls Star 9x48 lathe. Machine is intact with overhead countershaft unit that I want to add to my old iron collection. It has some wear but will be worth the effort, specisally with the countershaft drive up and running again. Anyone have info on the correct color?? There are remnants of several coats of brush painting in light gray, and the old black japanning underneath, but I can't pinpoint the right factory color.
