A Marlin 1894 in .44 mag came into the shop today that has a feeding problem. The carrier or cartridge lifter does not move (much) when cycling the lever. I took it apart and there is a counter bored hole in the carrier and there was also a small stepped pin sort of thing floating around the inside of the receiver. I am guessing that this pin fits in that hole in some manner and think it is also missing a bushing sort of thing that the pin was rivetted to which held the whole thing in place. The Numrich blow up drawing show a circle in that spot but no pin. I think that the this pin whihc would stick out on one side of the carrier is what the lever pushes against to move it up and down and feed the cartridges. Am I on the right track? Wish I had another Marlin to look at. Thanks for any ideas.
