Hi guys, I have a 1954 3CE plain horizontal and was wondering what the "CE" designation meant at the time. I don't see very many out there and just wondered if it was an "econo" model or what its place was. Thanks!

You could think of it that way. It was the least powerful #3 size (7 1/2 HP), with the fewest (16) spindle speeds. On the other hand, it did not have the smallest table in the #3 line up.

It weighed 6000 where the 330 - TF, also a #3, was 10,800
