We are sending out aluminum plates to a grinder (1/4" x 4" x 6"), an one of the faces is marked on the print as needing the profile of a line within .001
By that, I mean take the following symbol and turn it 90 degrees clockwise (
So that started a big discussion on flatness and profiles. The grinder isn't sure what it means, and neither are we.
Anyone have any idea what it means when the face of a plate is marked that way?
