When did sks and ak type rifles go from a milled receiver to a stamped receiver?

I have an older sks my uncle gave me It has a milled receiver. My dad gave me his sks from the sixties, it has a stamped receiver.

Can anyone give me an idea of how long ago sks and ak rifles went from milling to stamping?

I don't think there was ever a transition period, you can still get (and are still made) AK's and SKS's with stamped or milled receivers. But I'm not an expert on Russian firearms.
