10K Restoration broken power head tensioner, replacement part?

I am restoring a South Bend 10K, on the power head, there is a H shaped bracket that connects with the tensioning lever and locks the power head back into position. This part has two numbers on it, 4127K2, and SM10F. I have tried repairing this bracket a couple of ways unsuccessfully. I am a beginning hobbyist. I think I could fabricate this out of steel, but I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where I might obtain this replacement part.

Firstly, I would consult Ted Pflunger at [email protected], he’s the go-to for NOS or take off parts. He’s generally pretty good about having parts. If Ted can’t help you I could make you one if you don’t want to yourself.
