Hello all! I recently acquired a 1930 South Bend 9” lathe. Its in good overall condition, EXCEPT, the previous owner broke off and lost the quick change tumbler handle and its idler gear.
Ideally I would like to locate a replacement handle and gear, however if that isn’t possible I would appreciate if an awesome south bend owner could please provide the tooth count and over all dimensions of the idler gear so that I can fabricate a new handle.
Any help would be appreciated!
New to lathes and South Bend so please forgive my ignorance!
Attached is a picture of my new (to me) South Bend for reference...and to show her off!
