1930s Gearbox Tag Color Scheme

Anybody out there have photos of the an original 1930s 15" (Catalog No. 888-x) lathe gearbox plate?

Trying to decipher the original color scheme for a restoration.

Can't personally confirm. But everything I find seems to have red atleast somewhere in top going atleast into the 1920's

Still eagerly awaiting all those fat tags, like you made for your 16" :D

All close, none is an exact match...we may just have to make a command decision soon and lay down the masking tape for breaks in the powdercoat!

Tom,
I can't be totally certain, but I believe South Bend used the remaining Tags from the Model 88 Series O machine on the first N series lathes. They didn't change the model number of the Series N 15-inch (88) until after the tags were gone. Thrifty!!
I would definitely use the colors from the Series O machine, being this is the cross-over N model number.
