7' Hard bed 13" in NY for parts or restore, public auction

The chips in the pan look pretty fresh for being in salt water? Was there flooding in that area recently, maybe brackish water?

Looking at last pic, I'm guessing it was in a flood, maybe foot or so of water, and is an insurance right off.

Well, if you saw the cars that got submerged in the city during the Sandy storm a few years ago you could easily see how a lathe got submerged as well. The good thing is that a SB is nothing like a car with a computer system in it. Of the batch of collector/exotic cars I saw get totaled by the insurance company and then sold the only one I would have messed with personally would have been the Model A coupe. From the looks of it I'm scratching my head as to how much it was submerged. Might make a good project.

And since my first job - at age 6 or so - was as a trash pickup expert (later I progressed to hauling garbage in a dump truck)- it was useful in losing any fear of dump picking. You have to grab the nuggets where you find them......
