I don't have any specific experience with the Shars tool post although it looks like many others. I have Phase II tool posts which work very well. Be careful though because the post manufacturers often offer two styles of posts--Wedge type and Piston type. The wedge type posts seem to be able to more accurately position the tool holder than the piston type. This is important if you'd like to be able to remove and re-install tooling without losing your place. Otherwise, it probably doesn't matter much which type you get. Piston type posts are generally cheaper than wedge type.
