Perhaps it goes without saying but if you know exactly what you're looking for you can sometimes get them for good prices on eBay.

During a previous discussion about this, someone on the forum pointed out that you can buy knock offs of pretty much any brand of inserts at alibaba. This explains why you see some ebay sellers selling them dirt cheap and have hundreds of packs listed for sale.

Luckily I read that before I bought any.
