Hi,
I'm wondering if it is possible to convert a metric 10k to an imperial 10k, using parts from an imperial 9a. I think i'd rather work in imperial... It's not a matter of just cutting imperial thread once in a while. I think I want to move the slides in imperial... like my first lathe.
The list of items I think i'd need to swap would be:
-gear box and lead screw and associated gears near the banjo etc.
-cross feed leadscrew and pinion
-compound
Am I missing anything? Is this possible?
The other option would be trade metric components to someone who wants a metric machine, for their imperial components? Any takers?
Adam
