Hi All,
I've been looking for a SB13 for a while and came across one this weekend. I was fortunate, it came with a decent amount of tooling, chucks, collets, etc. It has the taper attachment, hardened ways, cam lock spindle. Also came with the steady rests and Dumore grinder. Just need to get a phase converter to get it up and running. Attached are some pictures.
Thanks
Pat

Nice find and well tooled.

Thanks Hodge and iwananew10K, the tail stock handwheel on the lathe is missing the handle, the handwheel in the drawer was probably to replace it.

Attached are a few more pictures.
Thanks
Pat

Would you share what you paid and where only to judge market? I’m looking for basically that same machine as a starter lathe. Thanks

It runs! Got my phase converter hooked up and fired it up, everything works fine. Now, the learning begins, totally new to this but hopefully, I will get the hang of it.
Thanks all for looking.

Nice find...
Be aware that these lathes need to be serviced (torn down and felts replaced) every 7-10 years per SB's recommendations. Be sure to check to make sure the felts are serviceable and are wicking oil- if it has been too long since they were replaced, or if the lathe has been sitting for a long time, the wicks harden and no longer function.

Then you've got metal on metal, and rapid wear of parts. You should invest in the rebuild kit/manual on Ebay; even if it doesn't need felts replaced now (you'll do it eventually), the manual is invaluable in familiarizing yourself with how these lathes function, and how to troubleshoot any issues.

Topnpr,
Thanks for the advice, I have purchased the manual and oils at this time, I will purchase the felts and rebuild kit as you suggest. I'm not sure how long ago it was serviced but I will check to see if there is any wicking of oil after I lube it.
Appreciate the help.

Very Nice Find!
I have that same lathe for about 20 years now... been a good piece. I never put together those accessories-- all you need now is the optional turret and you are most complete I've seen.
Enjoy!
