Based on the four narrow v-ways on the bed, shape of the apron and headstock, etc- that is no south bend. I'd say it is older, perhaps last quarter of the 1800s. Ask the in the antiques forum.
Thank you for the input. I think I am leaning towards a Prentice after watching video on you tube. The similar head and the belt guides casted in are not on any Southbends I have seen. Also the round control knobs are unique.
