As I was helping my dad sell a car, someone noticed that this lathe in the background was collectible. I won't be able to get more photos until next weekend, but my dad was able to tell me it was a 10" from 1936 bought from a high school in the 50s. Although I feel like he has told me 9" in the past. Can anyone clear it up? It'll help me come up with a reasonable valuation.

Thanks!

Looks like a 9” for sure. Also looks rough. Can’t see enough of the parts to help you very much. Unfortunately it’ll be tough to get anyone to offer you much in pieces. Worst case $100. Best case if it has all the change gears maybe $300. I’ll reserve full judgement until we see better pictures.

Thanks you two. There should be everything to build the complete lathe here since some parts were made back in the 50s using it and my dad is a big pack rat. Appreciate your help!
