9A Follow rest working range .

I just got a follower rest for a trade & was wondering what the max working size might be for a follow rest ? The one I got looks like it has a max @ 1.625 " .
I have never had one for this lathe so I don't know if that's about what size I can expect .

sounds about right. Not much need for a larger capacity as flex between centers on something >1.6" should be manageable even at the full bed length.

Catalogue says for the telescopic brass jaws, 2”

hmm , guess I need to look at it closer . I can't find any casting #'s on it . Here's the link to where the guy got it from that traded me for teh 10L follower I had .South Bend Lathe 9 Follower Rest | eBay . Hit the see original listing & you get the whole listing . Could this follower maybe be for the other not 9A lathe ?
