Installing a DRO on 13" South Bend - Video Series

Brad-

Quick question for you: Are you missing the lost distance in terms of moving the tailstock in against the carriage assembly? This is what keeps me from wanting to add a DRO.

Been watching, appreciate you documenting it for the rest of us.

Any thoughts on the brand of DRO you used? I need to pick one soon.

Not at all, see my bed is 6' long, so I have plenty of room. But it's only 1.5"-2" loss of space. Plus, the benefits are so hard to NOT have. a DRO will replace your bed stops and makes your dials (no matter the condition) un-needed.

DRO-Pros. Tom - these are really nice units. Easy to use and the guys there are really nice to deal with. Ask for Todd and Tell him I sent you!
