I've been slowly working on restoring/refurbing this lathe for a while as time and money permit and I'm to the point i would like to build a bench for it. I have a small 12x20 shop with too much stuff in it as it is and would really like to convert to U.M. for the space savings. I am a confident fabricator but have no machine tools. I only have access to a drill press. I've never seen it fully assembled to really have any idea of would it would take to convert. I tried searching every where but i guess i'm not using the correct terminology because i can't come up with anything

any help would be greatly appreciated

Nick

Lucky for you that you have the later model 10K that has the bed and headstock that are designed to be either under drive or horizontal drive.
To convert to under drive, you need the drive (duh) and 2 different guards for the headstock. The bench can be of your own design as long as you make provisions for the drive mounting.
I have the drive and the covers for sale. Send me an email
