Hello, I am new here as of today. Cryplydog is my name and I am looking for some much needed information on a older Southbend Lathe. So far on the Brass plate to the upper left I believe says CL6702 and it has a 3- 1/2 under that. Then on the Right end of the Lathe Bed are a series of, 13116KAR8. Any help will be appreciative.

johnoder, I have ran most all machine shop equipment earlier in my life and moved up to cnc when they came in and then to 6-axis robotics. at the same time Iused sheet mtl/fab as well as heavy plate and steel work. I'm pretty well rounded but never considered myself a toolroom machinist or die maker. Thank you for the information as it was useful. cryplydog retired
