This is my first new topic post and it has probably been asked before but... HELP! I purchased a Monarch 12x30 lathe (1941 I think) and thought I did my homework but I screwed up when I purchased a used chuck. I measured the lug spacing (6 lugs) and it appeared I had a d1-5 (5.25 inches between centers) so I bid on an almost new 10" chuck and won but it will not fit my lathe.
What is the right mount? I also want to make/get a C5 mount with a draw bar or a speed chuck. What is the best way? Any used ones around?
