I need to mount a rotary table to an I-beam. Besides drilling the cast iron I-beam, any ideas on how to mount?

where did you find a cast iron I beam?

Perhaps I described it poorly . It is a base (i-beam) off a lathe. I thought the ways were hardened steel and the base cast iron?

Shows end of a lathe bed, though not much of a I beam
If any sort of "rotary table" needed to be attached, I would be milling out what ever bed clamps were needed. Naturally, size of "rotary table" would determine what was needed.
ANY machine shop SET UP that cannot be done with hardware already on hand of course requires one to MAKE or otherwise acquire usable hardware
