MT3 - MT2 Spindle Adapter for Southbend 9A

I recently acquired a late 1946 South Bend 9A and I am trying to get up to speed on tooling.

It's my understanding that the 9A requires a spindle adapter to use MT-2 tooling. The used lathe I purchased did not come with this. Can any adapter be used such as this one from Grizzly or is is an original South Bend one required?

Thanks in advance.

yes, as Mr. Oder noted standard.
you can just use MT3 and forget the sleeve too. it might stick out a little too far depending on your set up, but if you buy the cheap centers and view them as consumables you can cut them down and repoint them in-situ to suit....scrap them when they get too short.
